The Statistics Department of the Krachi West Municipal Assembly recognizes that accurate statistics are essential for effective policy-making and decision-making. They play a critical role in identifying the best strategies to tackle complex development issues, transparently monitoring government service delivery to individuals and households at both the national and district levels, and evaluating national policy frameworks. Statistics serve as a catalyst for public action, driving change and ensuring the success of development programs.

To enhance the role of statistics in the national development agenda, the Krachi West Municipal Assembly has established a Statistics Unit. This unit is tasked with generating routine data at the municipal level to complement national statistics, thereby supporting the achievement of national development goals. The data collected will inform development priorities and provide a reliable basis for monitoring and evaluating projects implemented by the Assembly.

Furthermore, the Statistics Department will provide technical advice and operational support to facilitate the successful implementation of departmental activities and initiatives, ensuring that data-driven decision-making is at the forefront of the Assembly’s efforts to promote sustainable development in the municipality.
