Every business within the Krachi West Municipal Assembly must obtain a Business Operating Permit (BOP). A Business Operating Permit is a license that allows one to operate a business within the municipality.
To obtain the Business Operating Permit, the following procedures must be adhered to:
- Application Submission: A formal application must be submitted to the Assembly, requesting the permit.The application must contain specific details including the business name, the owner’s name, the business location, contact details, and, if applicable, the Registrar General’s Business Certificate.
- Site Inspection by the Assembly: After receiving the application, the Assembly will conduct an inspection of the business site to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Payment of Fees: If the application is approved, the applicant must pay the relevant fees as determined by the Assembly.
- Issuance of Certificate: Once all requirements are met, the Assembly will issue a Business Operating Permit certificate, granting the business official permission to begin operations.
- Prompt Delivery of Certificate: The Assembly is committed to delivering the certificate to qualified applicants within one working day, ensuring a swift process for businesses that meet all criteria.
